MAIP Policy Application - June 29, 2011

Motorcycles in MAIP

• Motorcycles may be placed in MAIP on the same MAIP policy that includes a private passenger vehicle.
• A person holding a motorcycle permit may obtain coverage through MAIP for an owned motorcycle.
• Motorcycle physical damage coverages are calculated based on the bike's cost new, not via a VIN lookup.
• Remember, motorcycle driver classifications (40,50,60,70) differ from private passenger classifications (10,15,17,etc.)
