Withdrawal of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Companies - July 17, 2015

On July 14, 2015, the Division of Insurance notified CAR that the Fireman’s Fund Insurance Companies (including admitted underwriting subsidiaries American Automobile Insurance Company, American Insurance Company, Associated Indemnity Company and National Surety Corporation) are seeking to withdraw from the Massachusetts private passenger automobile insurance market. Pursuant to Rule 38, B, CAR Rules of Operation, any party may file a request for a hearing with the Division of Insurance within 10 days of notice by the Division to CAR.
