Welcome to the Massachusetts Automobile Insurance Plan (MAIP). Use this page to help familiarize yourself with the MAIP.
Companies should log-on for access to MAIP information. The Company area is available Monday - Saturday, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Once logged-on ARCs can access Assigned Applications, FTP Assignment Report, Quota Share, and ARP Directory. Additional information about the secure area can be found in the MAIP Company Information (Help System).
Log-on to the Security Administration area to designate the specific individuals that have access, and to which applications that access has been granted.
CAR provides companies with two options for the receipt of MAIP Policy Application data. Individual assignment data can be received each time an assignment is made through a posting to web services or a batch of daily assignments can be transferred through FTP every evening. There are two verification standards for data transfer - ACORD XML or the CAR proprietary MAIP XML. (a company must be an ACORD member in order to use the ACORD XML option).
For more information, companies should contact Wendy Browne at firstname.lastname@example.org. Additionally, the Daily Assignment Transfer Request form should be completed so that CAR has the necessary information to start the process.
