Financial Services

Financial is responsible for generating CAR's quarterly member participation reports, financial results and related cash flow transactions. The department handles all banking, cash management and investment activity, prepares ad hoc financial analyses, develops the operating budget, monitors expenses, and manages the general ledger and payroll systems.

Actuarial/Statistical performs analytical work in support of the Loss Reserving Committee's projection of reserve amounts and ultimate deficits and the Actuarial Committee's review of Rule 11 participation components and Rule 12 credit offers. The department also calculates participation ratios, ceding expense allowances, prepares, and distributes management reports including cession volume and other book of business analyses, reviews CAR commercial rate filings, prepares rate pages, and performs ad hoc reports and analyses.
